Plain base Lee, 150 gr., .30 cal.

I took a Lee double cavity mould and removed the gas check shank and rendered the mould a plain base mould. I'm getting .301 " on the nose and .311 " with clip on WW's on all the drive bands after sizing and lubing.

This particular bullet design has turned out to be a very accurate bullet out of many of my .30 cal. rifles.

I got outside this morning and cast some more with the mould .
$20 and a bit of home / amateur machinist work and you're in business and can save money on those pesky gas checks. Offers some pretty cheap shooting.

Thanks for looking ! ! :)

Always past that by because of the reports of small noses...guess you got a good one..should be a real shooter in the 30-30..

I have the RN version and the nose is something like .297-8"

I have an old single cavity of that design that drops .301" x .312", and its one of my favorites. That small aluminum block will drop good bullets about as fast as I can pour, cut and drop.

One of my favorite bullets. Brad took the GC out of one for
me, and have a double w/gas check. They seem to shoot well
in all of the 30's.
