Powder Measure Micrometer Redding/Uniflow

A few years ago I ended up with a couple Redding powder measure micrometers (pretty cheap). However, I seem to have several RCBS Uniflows and no Redding powder measures. I finally got around to converting one of the micrometers to fit an RCBS small drum. (I surely can't read or interpolate the markings on the standard RCBS stem).

I did some measuring and calculations on where to put the shoulder so I would end up at 0 on the micrometer at the same time the stem would be bottomed out. I then left an extra .050 on the shoulder so I could index the markings. After I threaded it 9/16 - 20tpi, I turned the drum onto the stem and checked the index. (3/4 turn needed). I took half of what I needed off the shoulder and checked again, repeating the process until I had it clocked at 12 o'clock.

Not much else really. I saved a few bucks over buying one and I LOVE the results. I wish I had one years ago.

It makes me feel better now knowing I'm not the only one who protects finished parts with aluminum can material.
