Powder Measure Missing Spring

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Hey guys, I got this Herters measure off CB awhile back and am finally getting around to cleaning it up and making it usable. It was a rusty mess when I got it, nothing would turn or move. Fast forward 4-ish months and I am getting close to ready to throw charges with this antique!
HOWEVER. When I was finally able to get the drum freed and out, a spring and poly pin went flying, as such tiny things are apt to do. I found the pin but have not ever been able to locate the spring. I don't know if any of you are familiar with this style, but it's a double spring tension design to keep the drum tight in the frame. Hopefully I can post pics so y'all can see what I need. The wire seems to be 21-22 gauge.

Sorry Ben I'm posting from my phone. So are they really too big or too small on a computer?

I have checked the auto store and the hardware store, smallest was 3/16" diameter. Thanks for that link Brad, I may have to go that route.

No chance that they are too small.

If you use an iPhone the photos are way big. I use an app to resize them to approx 1/4 the size.

I use 800 px X 800 px, it works well for me.
( your photo is 2448 X 3264 )
This photo is sized to 800 px X 800 px :

Interesting. I opened them and pushed the minus sign in a circle and they went down to 1/4 the monitor size.

I inherited a massive amount of spring stock from My wife's Dad.
I can't promise anything but let me give it a good look: Have any idea about the gauge of the wire?

I think much of that depends on the platform and software used to view the forum. My iPad shows everything screen sized, the software must make photos fit the screen. Those same photos on my Windows desktop require much scrolling as the photo is larger than screen size.

Drag around a magnet & you'll probably find your spring.

Interesting. Brad, what app do you use to resize photos? Jim the coils measure 30-31 thousandths (.030-.031) in thickness, I don't know my gauge sizes well.

Edit:I believe it should be 21-22 gauge wire.

I use one called simple resize. It is a freebie. I resize to 640x380 or so.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Yes they are! BTW, .120 seems to be a fairly common spring diameter. I second Brads suggestion of trying the hardware store. I think Ace even shows a listing on them. They're usually quite long, but you shouldn't have any trouble shortening them.

I have a few hundred springs, but can't help unless you can provide an approximation of the wire gauge, dia. and length.
