Just ordered this mold from Jared Thursday along with a 70 grain 257 caliber mold for the 25-20. I ordered the 30 cal with 50/50 gas check - plain base. This will be my 3rd Arsenal mold, nice work, good prices. They do seem to be backed up currently, but it's still dark and cold out, so a little wait won't hurt.
Just got email notice that my 2 molds have been shipped. I emailed after 3 weeks with a reply from Jared that they were backed up. OK, no hurry. After 3 more weeks sent a 2nd email inquiry and did not receive a response till the shipping notice. Both my emails I was understanding of the wait as most of this part of the planet seems to be messed up and that I was in no hurry.
So Arsenal molds is a little behind, but should be worth the wait. Don't know why he's backed up, everybody and his brother wants a mold, lost a good employee, supply and materials shortage? Don't know. Like I said, should be worth the wait.
I will post pictures when they get here.

I've sent quite a number of people his way recently, but I doubt I sent enough to throw them in turmoil.

anyway Utah is still under some fairly rigid lockdown rules.
them being the next big city up the line from los angeles, and having an international airport, seems to insure they get a nice influx of everything on the planet.

I haven't been east toward Morgan from SLT but it basically a massive Metro from Toole to Logan west and north now so Morgan is probably a burb along with points south .......I used to know those names too . Toole used to be about 35-40 miles out of town it's 90 miles from 80 to Logan , last town before the farms and ranches give way to Montana landscapes .

Logan is about 75 miles south of me on hwy 34.
it used to be a nice little town where you could go pheasant and duck hunting as well as fishing 5 minutes in most any direction from downtown.
now you can't hardly make one street light to the next in 5 minutes.

That part of Utah gets exiled Californians from both the Bay Area and from southern Cal. Small wonder it has exploded size-wise.

The 170-180 grain flatnose 38/357 bullets push the caliber up a notch in game-taking potential, esp. in rifles. I have an older Group Buy Lee mould with Lee's conventional grooves and gas check shank, and it is every bit as accurate as Lyman #358156. In the Roto Unleaded Metal this design should cast in the 155 grain bracket.

I got a email from Arsenal today my order is in process!!! (311-170RD)

Hoping that means the mold was instock!?!

I was comparing the "new" mold to the old bullets cast with the loaner mold. I added a 360-181 NOE as its another favorite. I should have taken a shot from above. The 175 actually has the largest meplat!
(All these bullets are culls)

All of Michaels moulds have a 73% meplat IIRC.

This 311 mold I got two plain base and three gas check. Looking like this one should work good in the Winchester 94's..

I have a Lyman #257420 that is GREAT in my 25/20 Marlin 1894CL. Checked and lubed with Carnauba Red, they are accurate to 1900 FPS+. This is another caliber where lighter priming than the CCI 400 paid off with increased accuracy--Rem #6-1/2 made a HUGE difference.
