Recycling Spent Primers

For Years I have just tossed them in the trash but since I'm sitting on a few pounds of spent primers I was wondering if anyone recycles them? They appear to be mostly brass. Is it worth the trouble? I usually give my son the unwanted trash brass cases and blown copper jackets I find on the berms when I'm picking lead.
A few times I was surprised at how much he got for them!
Worth recycling?

Brass & nickel, sure if ya can find a recycler to take them. Some areas of the country do, in some areas they won't touch them. I tried to with a full 3 pound coffee can in CA and wasn't a recycler to be found that would take them.

My local scrap dealer takes them and pays scrap brass price. Once a year I take brass and primer to him and get some lead.

I dump them in my scrap brass bucket. Will need to take it to the scrap yard soon and see what I get for it.

Scrap prices have been at an epic low for months. Hang onto them for now. I've been considering trying to make .22 gas checks out of them for a few years but it would require a special bullet mould.

They go in with my scrap brass.
Local scrap dealers have no issues taking them. They pay the same as scrap brass..
The last price I was quoted for scrap brass was $.85 a lb. That was a few months ago....dale

ahem cough... sticktothesmallonesforcloserangework... cough.

I toss them in the brass buckets.
one of these day's I will haul the whole mess down to the scrap yard and see what they say.
I guess if I have to, some cinder blocks and a hair dryer will be employed to make ingots, I still have about
10 lbs. of coal.
