Rem 700 aac 300 blackout w cast

bought one of these about 2 months ago... I love blackout as it's pretty awesome cast gun much like many but I like shooting the larger bullets due to the fact I can use little powder and catch my bullets into my trap and remelt into more large bullets and the gun doesn't make much noise to annoy the neighbors.
75 yards

Noe 311-198 sp. plain base
Imr 4198 10.5 gr 3/4 inch group
H-4198 10.5 gr 3/4 inch group
H110 9.2 gr 1/2 inch group

I really like this gun. I wanted a second mold for my rifle to match the one I found working but noe doesn't have it in stock but good news is many other choices. I'm settling into the idea of 311299 or as noe sells it the 311-202 rn.

My gun feeds the noe 311247 well which has a bore riding measure of .300 so my thought is chambering a 311299 should work as they measure close in bore ride diameter for same distance.

Anyone else using this bullet in blackout.

Which bullet, the 247? Most of my Blackouts won't chamber the 247 because in typical NOE fashion the nose casts too fat, even with very weak alloy. I use it in my .30-30 break actions and my .308 on occasion (loaded one at a time due to magazine box restrictions), but prefer the Lee 230 5R, powder coated up to a shootable diameter.

Try the Lee 100-grain 2R bullet, rolled in a light coat of BLL and touched off with a pinch of Titegroup (about 3-3.5 grains) and a small PISTOL primer for some really quiet fun. Have you thought about getting a silencer for the 700?

To answer the question of which bullet feeds in my gun

Noe311-247 feeds lined w alox/jpw
No interference w the body dia of the nose

Noe 311-198 sp feeds fine crimped in its final groove and this is a powder coated bullet

Lee 309-230 feeds fine also and this is powder coated.

Oh yes I'm getting a scilencer for it. I just gotta get my passport photo and finger prints

Yeah I figure since the 311247 feeds in my gun I can get the 311299 to feed. 202 gr round nose design. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. People swear by it in 30-30, 308, 303, yada yada. I'm going to try using it for subs

Does the SPP make it quieter? I'm using the H.J. 100 gr plinker with 5.5 gr. CFE pistol, with muffs on, just a POP. I want to try the 2 hand hold on the BO pistol, never done that before.

the SPP lowers velocity's even more.
I have the AAC also and my chamber is pretty tight.
I have to not use milsurp brass and buy name brand brass to get a 310 diameter bullet to even chamber.
the LC stuff is fine with 308 jacketed.

I like the LEE 247.
it comes from the mold with the base band just a tick over 310.
so I tumble lube it and push it through the 310 sizer to clean everything up then re-apply some 45/45 lube.
3.5ish grains of 700-X [I use a dipper or load on the dillon] and a SR primer is as low as I can go before things go off the rails.
a SP primer will push things over the edge too far.
I really wish they would have left off the tapered base and lightened it up about 10grs, but it works.

Mill the top of the mould off and it will be just that. Only problem would then be finding a LH tap to deepen the threads on the sprue plate pivot screw hole.

I actually like the boat tail on the Lee bullet, but only because I powder coat them. IDK what the BC is of that bullet, but at 1030 fps MV and a 100-yard zero I'm only seeing a foot of drop at 200 yards.

It's real high!!! I remember I was looking it up for if I was blessed by the lovely techs at Remington w a accidental 1-10 barrel and 300blackout.com or whatever had a guy that figured .584 Was it's coefficient

The NOE 311-247 shows .4428 while the 311-230 shows .5459 . The other 17 gr is all in the nose and meplat .

It's a good Bullet that 309-230. My ar15 can do a honest 1/4-1/2 inch at 50 yards w it. I never printed groups w it at 100. I'm pretty much placing the ar15 in the safe in cold storage.

My 700 is my bullet burner these days

I may start the powder coat thing on them.
I'm still working on a hardware cloth or sheet metal type stand to hold the big bullets upright.
I just cannot do the lay them on a basket thing.
