Replacing a hollow base pin

I know but it is so much easier to just let Bob send me what he buys. Never tried turning wood but may need to think on it.

I use wooden spools. Cheap and easy.

358156 hp

At large, whereabouts unknown.
I can find long knobs all day long but they aren’t like the old days.

That said, I started in on the last one. Let me know if this is what you are thinking Bob.

Gonna be a massive HP but I kinda like that for a handgun bullet.
It looks great. That mould is destined for 38 Spl loads, so a larger HP is really desirable. My other large HP mould is a 358156 (of course), and I wanted a PB design that was similar. They can be a pain to work with, but there's something theraputic about blowing a half day casting HPs from a SC Ideal.

I find them less than Ideal.

Casting HP from a single cav mould is tedious.

All done.

Drilling and tapping for a short piece of .125 brass rod to make a retention pin is soooooo simple. Use a file for final fit of the pin and done.
