Retirement rifle, 30-30 Handi!

I am dealing with a local shooter and have a used 30-30 Handi coming very soon. I retired a week ago, shock to the system, and this is my retirement gift to my self.

I'll be reading Ben's reports regarding his. It is a recent manufacture and the pictures are excellent. Pre-inspection is also part of the deal. It pales in comparison to Ben's new beauty but kinda the same ethos, #1 and 3s are my dream rifles but Handi's are in the safe!

I've shot a few Handi's but don't own one. They all were good shooters. Good luck with your rifle and congratulations on your retirement!

Thanks gman, I own two now, this 30-30 wood/blue/sights and a late Hornet synth/blue/sights. Ben's success with his was encouraging and the 30-30 is all I want to handle anymore. This rifle will be my fun and experimental cast shooter. Paper, cans, and gongs are the targets.

I've 3 of the buggers. All 3 have the ability to out shoot me any day. One in .223; .22 Hornet, and one in 300 Blackout.

I keep looking for one in 30-30 (I need another rifle like I need aids), but
the only ones I have run across are in 223, and I need not another 223.

Congratulations on retirement !

I have one in 12g & would buy more in any of my supported calibers if found at the right price.
