BTW, Oscar,

Is that an Echo chainsaw? Mine's a CS-400 with 18" bar.

Nope. Stihl 290/Farm Boss.

And I HATE chainsaw chaps. Hot as hell, and they tend to hang you up, in my limited experience. Almost tripped me up more than once. Afraid I will fall into the chain. I will take my chances w/o them.

I worked clearing the last few years I worked at a honest job. Always ran & owned Stihl saws except for one Husky 90CC. While I've cut many trees this job was mainly cutting on the ground after the excavator uprooted them. The trees were mostly oak & hickory. I've had chains come off & my right bicep torn doing an uncut with a Stihl 066. I sawed thru my boot sole once & had a few stitches in a hand but never broke a chain. And like has been said a chain break/stop is a wonderful thing.

Have used chain saws for dressing/quartering up many moose. Now it's the 20 volt sawsall that gets it done. Only takes one battery for a moose.
