That looks well-night PERFECT for a 45 Colt levergun. It would do nicely in a 45 Colt or 45 Auto Rim wheelgun as well.

Yeah, I always check with Tom before ordering, and he said he couldn't imagine this not working in a .45 Colt lever gun. My buddy will be using it as well in his Pietta .45 Colt SAA, but anything that works in his lever gun will work in the revolver.

Congratulations Don. You will love that mold, it is one of my favorites.

I bought a brass one as well. The mold is very easy to cast with.

Here is a comparison with the Lyman 454190. I can't imagine it wouldn't feed well in a lever gun.

Can't understand why folks have a problem with the Lyman bullet in a lever gun.
It has to be the OLD Lyman die set I use. Steel size die and finish with a light kiss from an OLD CH taper crimp die.

But I DO LIKE that Accurate bullet. Another on my list to save my pennies for.

hporter,

Good to hear that someone has had good experience with that bullet.

Don,
You are not a nice man. I'm good on molds and didn't really have any need to go to Tom's website. I clicked on your link, and while that one isn't exactly what I was looking for, I started perusing the pages of 45 caliber molds.

My saving grace here is this mold wouldn't be for me, it'd be for my shooting partner so I'm good...

Any of my ex-wives could have told you I'm not a nice man.:D Actually my new mold is not mine, at least for now. My buddy gave me the money to buy it for him so I could cast him these bullets.
