She wanted to go...

So we did.

She didn't let loose the normal 700-1k bday rnds, but made sure I was 5-600 rounds lighter on the way home.

Tried some 454-308 @ 1150-1250 on the new bullet bucket. They didn't make it to the sand & I figure it might catch them to 1400 or so.

I was surprised how little damage these took for being hp's. Way overdue for range time.

Is it sad that I'm trying my best to figure out which pistol bay you used? I would guess the farthest one up the hill behind the 50 yard rifle berm. Either that or the second on over at the bottom of the hill, the one by the building.

Sure looks like you had fun though!
Good job on the new bullet bucket.

I need to make up a bucket like that. Sand is cheap, I have some carpet scraps, and buckets are easy to come by.

Ok, bottom up build. 2" sand, sheet metal, 2" sand, carpet, packed rubber mulch, carpet, 2" sand, carpet, 2"sand, carpet, lid, carpet?

That close enough?

I don't have sheet metal on hand but have some plywood that would be easy to cut to fit.

bottom up build. 2" sand, sheet metal, 2" sand,-2-3 layers carpet, packed rubber mulch half way full, more carpet, fill with mulch, carpet, lid, carpet carpet.

That's how mine is there. Wanna keep sand & mulch seperated.

Used first range bottom left.

Mine show minor single sided smearing. Load was a bit more than I usually use with tightgr... The target was showing dispersion somewhere between 8.5-9gr.
