Obsidian will flake to one molecule at the edge and is probably the sharpest object known to man. Good chert is almost as good. There is a neurosurgeon at Baylor Scott & White who makes his own obsidian scalpels because nothing cuts cleaner or causes less scar tissue to form after surgery. If you cut yourself working it, you can just hold the wound closed for a couple of minutes and it will be almost healed if you don't force it open again for a couple of days.

I looked on You Tube for how to knapp. With my wrists their is no way i could take up the hobby. I guess the only Knapping i will be doing is in a bed. LOL
