Out shooting a bit this AM. Brought a bench and rest to shoot a handgun. This is not my normal set up. Usually just plink offhand. Shooting off a rest while sitting. Target at 25 yards. S&W 29-5 Lyman 429421 PC and sized to .430” seated over 7.5gr Unique. 6 shots at 2.250”
Probably about as good as I can do. Very pleased.

Dawn really likes her Venom. Made it easier for her to shoot well and that means she shoots more. Nothing not to like there.

My wife's model 67 looks a lot like that one - less the red dot!
Stainless is mandatory because she'll go through anywhere between 300 and 500 rounds in an outing.

You ought to try shooting an iron sighted Mauser with a 29" barrel.

Once again tradition rears its ugly head in my ugly head. If I can't holster it and carry it for a day I can't see a use for a handgun. I am having a terrible time with handgun iron sights and my eye doctor doesn't seem to understand or really care very much. She says my eyes are 20/20 in the right, (master) eye, and maybe a touch better than that in my left eye. The gal at the DMV even mentioned how good my vision was in the eye test and asked if I'd had lenses done. Then why are the iron sights so difficult to use?

Rather than add optics to my handguns I think I'll just hold them out one handed at arms length, rotate my arm until the left side of the gun is parallel to the ground and yank the trigger until it clicks a few times. Seems to work for some.

Don't forget to thrust your arm forward with each shot, helps get the bullet there quicker, dontcha know!

I got the dot sight on the 29 dialed in the best I could yesterday. This was shot off a rest at 25 yards. 429421 PC .430” over 7.5gr Unique.

Maybe I should use a soft lube and Unique to increase the filth?
