About shipping companies. Expecting an order that was shipped FedEx from Utah. Following tracking it has so far gone to NV, AZ, back to UT. back to NV, to Ok and has now been sitting in Mississippi for 1 1/2 days to get it to AR. Be fascinating to see if it now goes to PA or NJ next.

Yup I see it all the time. I have allot of things shipped in so I see shipments from across the country.
For me Problems occur most with packages outta Tennessee and Washington state. I see longest shipping times from Texas and California. Im in New England.

I am waiting in a holster made in Tenn... Went to NC and sat there for ten days... now it's been ten more days to get to my state. Then shipped out to Mass where it's been for three days. This morning I see its arrived at my Post Office.

Good luck and Merry Christmas

probably the worst time in history to ship something right now.
what your seeing is a sort dump.
it gets to the end of the shift, stuff has to go before the next shift comes on.
so everything on the line gets shoved through in the general direction it's going.

right now our local fed-ex truck is a U-Haul truck with a guy I never seen before driving it.
first time I seen him there was about 4-5 of us standing out in the street trying to figure out why a U-Haul truck was making stops going down the street.

Add Amazon to the mix and it gets even more entertaining.

I'll spare everyone the long ongoing rant, but yeah, it's even worse than normal, and USPS is the worst. FedEx and UPS have actually been "not terrible" this year and UPS drivers are actually capable of backing down my drive and staying IN IT, instead of in the yard. I should add that the "girls" never seemed to have the problem backing up. Maybe they tutored the guys over summer? One guy made an unholy mess of it last year and I told him "aw it's OK, but go back and tell your boss you want the GOOD MIRRORS like they gave the girl who was hear yesterday." ;)

Being forced to procure medical supplies "mail-order" only has polluted this whole mess with even more stress, as you watch something bypass your sate, go two more states in another direction and grow roots for a week, minimum, before it finally shows up sans tracking for a week.

That said, my regular mail carrier is an absolute gem.

Yup, order was split in 2, bulk has not arrived yet, One piece delivered yesterday by USPS, was transferred from UPS to USPS for delivery. Checked yesterday, bulk was 'shipped' 12/03, now shows 'ready' but not picked up by UPS yet. Had the Uhaul coming down the street yesterday, haven't seen a 'brown' truck here for some time. USPS still get the bills here on time - plus junk mail.

Here in WA state, USPS Priority Mail is coming in the normal 4 days, not the 2 listed, but that is normal. UPS is not delivering anything here in town, but dumping it at the PO for delivery. FEDEX from VA was 21 days by truck to get here.

Been selling my collections on eBay for 21 years now, and USPS has never lost one of my Priority Mail boxes even once.

USPS and UPS have been in bed together for a while now.

I had a UPS package delivered by FedEx the other day, which was a new one on me.

We did have an "incident" with a credit card company bill not being delivered on time, which set automated responses/actions into motion, one of which was supposedly a call they made to us, and in which we declined to be notified of past due payments. Whaaaat th'.....?

TWO DAYS of repairing a mess made by USPS not delivering the payment and the CC company relying WAY too much on automated actions and algorithms predicting what our response might have been if they'd actually called us (which they did NOT). "All good!" "No harm, no foul," says the friendly CS rep,.... once you finally reach them. Uuuuuh NO! Who compensates ME for the lost time and aggravation?

Sorry. That was part of the rant I intended to spare you.

We get a lot of FedEx shipping and turning it over the the Post Office. Then the USPS taking 2 or three days to get it to the house. They call is smart shipping or something like that.....talk about an oxymoron. Every time they do it it adds 2 or 3 days to shipping time.

Ridgecrest's USPS was DREADFUL in a number of ways. Redlands, on the other hand, has been consistently FIRST-RATE whether it's the Post Office, UPS, or FedEx.

I got an email from fedex that a package was delivered yesterday (Sunday) morning.
But I never got it. was probably delivered to Street instead of Place.

Where I live there is are numbered streets. and for every number there is a Street and a Place;
1200 230th STREET
1200 230th PLACE

fedex is the worst, they have done it FOUR times since Thanksgiving.

Well seems FedEx pulled a FedEx. The place shipped the box but when I filled out the order form the computer auto filled it in. Everything was correct except there was no street number. I emailed the place 3 times before they shipped it and never got a reply from them. Saturday FedEx tracking says delivered on Saturday the 19th, left on porch, no signature required.

Well great . . . Who's porch? Wasn't mine. I guess they just drove down the street and picked a house. One house is as good as another right?
