Here are some photos of my new .22lr rifle. I wish I could do photos as well as Ben and JW, but it is what it is, the best I could do.
It has a Schnabel, and I love Schnabels, but it didn't show up well with my poor photography. I wish I could have done better because it really is a beautiful rifle.
I tried to get a picture of the reticle of the scope but I couldn't get anything of value.
I took it to the range to see if I had any ammo that it liked. I had Aguila 40gr Super Extra Copper Plated, Fiocchi 40gr CPSP High Velocity, and CCI 40gr Lead Round Nose Standard Velocity Target.
It liked the CCI ammo best. At 50 yards I got 0.60" groups. I'd say that is about "minute of squirrel head".
In regard to the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 X 24 scope, it has a reticle designed for rapid target acquisition probably for AR type rifles. The aim point is a dot. Probably 2 MOA, but I am guessing there. Below the dot there is a vertical line with horizontal stadia lines. With a 50 yard zero the second line down from the dot is right on for 100 yards with the standard velocity CCI load.
