One of the things That I started doing in my latter days of Firelock building was museum restoration / conservation of 18th Century Long guns:
This one for me was very special in that the name "John Paul Beck" humbled me since he was one of the best builders of Pennsylvania Long rifles.
When I was given the task of this project it took me near one year before I got the nerve to touch such a great historical piece!
I knew what I had to do and how to do it, however I need the spiritual guidance of the "great ones" to to give me the Ok ( at least in my mind)!
Below there are posted some before and afters of the major areas restored.
Instead of me telling everything I did ( I'm long winded ...you know) i'm leaving it open to questions that will be easier to answer ( I hope)
So I give you the Miller JP Beck project!
