Anyone ever buy one of these? I found a revolver that I really like. I really don't need it, I WANT IT!!!!!

Might have to juggle some things to get this one. I don't want to say what it is or who has it as it will be gone as fast as I post it.

I've seen a few I really liked as well. I don't think I've ever had one. But I've had a bunch of lipsiee and a Buckeye exclusive.

Have two 642 J-frames, one is a Talo edition. Noticeably, better trigger pull on the Talo. Talo also came with nice set of wooden combat style grips. However, I immediately swapped them out with Crimson Trace Laser grips.

Not TALO, but Lipseys...

I grabbed a couple Flat Top 44 Specials as soon as I heard about them. It was what I'd always wanted - a production, mid-frame 44 Special Blackhawk.

I'd honestly say that this was the SA I NEEDED, as I sold or traded all the rest after I got it. I'm glad the distributors do this though.

@Tomme boy , I'd grab it if you want it. Doesn't matter if you "need" it and you know as well as anyone that you owe n o one else an excuse for getting what you want. One thing Ive learned about the distributor specials is that if you see one you want - GRAB IT, because they won't be available for long.

If you change your mind later, someone else out there is still kicking himself for thinking on it too long and WILL buy it from you.

yeah man,, the Lipseys and Talo's stuff is up and gone before most people even know they've been ordered.

My best friend and a mutual friend, between us had the stainless, Bisley 45 Colt/ACP* in 5.5" I was shooting an OM Blackhawk cut down to 5.5" and a Smith 25, but was sorely tempted to get one like theirs. There was a bit of a surplus of them at the end of the run and they were available and relatively cheap - cheaper than either of them paid for theirs.

I dallied. I thought, pondered, considered,... And then there were none.

After a while, they started showing up on GB for double what they sold for originally.

Lesson - don't DALLY!

*Pretty sure this was the combo/cinfiguration, but it was special and not part of the normal production lineup.

I have several of each, but I do take issue with them on this. I think they believe they are keeping things exclusive by limiting the quantities, I think they are leaving money on the table and doing interested buyers a disservice.

Ruger is the that's failing.
they simply show they can do better, but then don't.
why can they make a number-1 for Lipsey's in 275 Rigby, but not a hawkeye?
they seem to have the chamber reamer and 7mm barrels sitting there.
hornady seems to have the capability to make the brass, how hard is it to run the machine for a couple more days?

Well I ended up not going the custom gun. Had to get new glasses as I left the old ones on top of the jeep when I left the gun range the other day. Had to settle on a cheaper gun.

Now I'll second that thought. Love a Hawkeye. Lot of things I'd love to see them make. How about a .32 S&W Long 4" "Combat Masterpiece in blue/beagle
