should be an interesting one.
we changed it from here to Littlegirls at the last minute so she could have 3 of her brothers in law over.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Happy Thanksgiving folks. We can't get the kids all here today so it will be Saturday for that. Kinda strange.

Spent from about 1730 hrs last night to 0530 this morning passing a kidney stone (OUCH! and a few other four letter words) but, Thanksgiving is back on track now. Two turkeys in the smoker and dressing has been made. Mrs. smokeywolf will make dinner rolls, candied yams and do the peas and corn.

A year ago today my wife covertly drew baby boots on a dinner roll so her mother would see it when she took them out of the oven and know she was going to be a grandmother. This year there were four of us at the table instead of just three, our first victory in the battle against attrition!

Just got home from a grand feast at Winelovers (John). His bride outdid herself this year, I can hardly walk I'm so full.

Happy Thanksgiving to all y’all! We celebrated early so today I took the wife and kids to the hills to cut a tree. Rained pretty good, but we had fun and the tree is in the living room all lit up. Time to hang my shotgun shell lights on the shop door again.

Back attcha!

Quit counting @25 guests here.We try to get a new face every year.Had two this go round.

Bunch of bow boys showed up,haha.Only one is using a firearm. He's using a handgun as is determined to stick with it.Feels like a bloomin guide service, with all their gear staged in the back living room.High ceiling with big honkin fireplace, stick bows propped up in a line... serious backpacking equipment, boots N stuff.Good times fur sure.

Went yesterday a.m. to a friends place.Bear and coyote with a minor in deer. The oldest and youngest left me and #3 and 4 looking rather stupid when they literally ran up a super steep mountain. They both are hiking bow hunting freaks.... when it comes to being in shape... doh.The owner told us of two occasions this year of coyotes killing and dragging fawns down to his house. They routinely are on his porch. We only saw a cpl does @100.The two boys spent their time watching the Sun light up the Blue ridge while running (almost) scouting down a long ridge line looking for smack daddy.I told them about the Bear.... they didn't even blink.

They called in one of our strays this a.m. to hunt here,I'm staying on the porch, haha. But he's jacked 4 nice arsed bucks,2 with bow,one ML,last with his rifle. He spent the night and showed up on Thanksgiving evening to watch foosball and eat 3 plates plus several deserts in an effort to help get rid of food, haha.

Fried leftover co ham N eggs for bfast.Get to go over the same fashion/gear talk with backup (stray).... bunch of women if you ask me.And they call me Martha Stewart?

Enjoyed a great dinner, at BIL's place. Far fewer than usual, lost a bunch of family in the
last 10 years, whittled down the Turkey day crowd, and many are scattered across the country
for various job reasons. Niece just had her 3rd child, a real blessing, but far away, USMC needs.

Still lots to be thankful for.
