Might be why we have cats? Not that they are more forgiving, just lazier.

Jim, I've had that photo of the LASC resident mouser on my web site since the 90's. Love that picture.

Ya, Rick, how much NOX did they give you today, anyway? Now I'm starting to worry. Want me to bring you a kitten?

My wife is a cat person and I am a dog person.
We've had as many as 9 cats and two big dogs at the same time, though not right now.
The nine cats were three females and six kittens.
All in a 1,200 square foot house!
Never a dull moment.

Always had dogs till I got older. When the last two dogs passed away, waited awhile before
another animal. Got a cat. My reasoning, much less maintenance. For strictly a house cat,
there is no walking the dog, or letting it out to do it's thing, and cleaning up after. With
a cat it is just a litter box, and the cat decides when to use it. Litter box takes very little time
to clean. A short haired cat doesn't shed, most dogs do. Cats are easy to feed, can even use
an automatic feeder and watering station. Cats are cheaper to feed. No let out side at 2 a.m.
The cat added a lot of smiles to my house.

If you notice The cat doesn't need his human to do his dirty work. A cat takes matters into it's own Paws!;)
