the big brown truck left a rectangled cardboard box at my place and i got another sporter 1891 argentine mauser in 7.65x53. i still have to shoot the last one!!!!! this one was made by lowe and its g 3XXX. does anybody have the year it was made? (i don't) the 91 argie has its barrel reduced to 21-22" and whoever made it did a good job. the front sight looks like a remington m760 front sight. the rear sight is original. it has a 2 stage trigger that will break at 4-5 lbs.

the stock however, needs a steam cleaning!!!! its dented and dings and scratch and whatever else it went thru. its needs some slings and the cleaning rod hole is not filled in with a dowel. (i have another job....yea!!!!!) i took the bolt out of it and the previous owner knows how to clean!!! i looked into the bore and it was shiny and bright.

all in all, i paid $200 ($150 for the rifle, $17 auction house, $33 for ups) for the rifle and i'm happy that i did.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Good on you! That right there is a truck rifle if I ever saw one. If you can source a decent receiver sight it's even better!
