when you lap that one out, usually just removing the bluing takes off about .001
I normally lap until the blue is gone, then cast with it to get the blue back again and to measure my progress.
I have no problem lapping while the mold is near operating temp.
Love that round Ben......so supremely accurate in my Whelen. Have yet to try it in my .358 Win. I am curious what your loads are for the 358 Win and how effective the hp on the 358009 is on Whitetail.... and how was the tissue damage on the Whitetail. Lastly, what alloy and what the velocity might be...or approx.
Thanks Ben.
That's what it was advertised for but this one is 285 gr dry from 1-20 .
Paper patched in a 45-70 it's fun . I have a 45 cal "mountain rifle" I'm working on that it will be ideal in .
