The NOE 311041 will most likely work well in the 94 Win. Centennial but as we all know it is a good " general utility .30 cal. cast bullet " in the 30-06, & 308 Win.

Having one cavity plain base and the other g/c offers a lot of possibilities.

Brad,

Actually, I did have one. I had a Lyman single cav. ( A 1969 purchase ) that I had Buckshot HP for me many years ago.

2 weeks ago, my shooting friend Jason ask for an opportunity to buy the mould and I sold it to him. I turned around and ordered this 2 cav. NOE from Al.

Got that one in gc and pb...bands come out good at just under .312 with my alloy ..nose dead on at .300...haven't got it to shoot great yet...but after the retry of the 311291...I have high hopes...got some cast ...but I am on Vaca this week ..so Ben you'll get a chance to try them out before I do...

BTW...they cast nicely.

You were really lucky that that one was on sale at the time.
Just yesterday I paid NOE for a Saeco copy 315. So that should be here this week. You are a bad influence on me. I ordered a GC and PB mold.

Ben, probably going to have to nose-size it to knock down that front band for your Centennial.

Yes Ian ,

I have a .300" NS die , When I use the .300", it is still a bit tight.
You thinking maybe .298" ? ?

Buckshot made me a nose sizing die that takes Redding inserts.
Easy to order another one.

UUmmm, OK.

Centennial? No throat? Where you gonna put that fat front band, inside the neck? I assumed you wanted a bullet where you could crimp in the groove for the levergun, but maybe I'm wrong.

Ian,

My theory was that this one might not work very well at all in the Canadian Cent, however
I KNEW it would work in my Handi 30-30 , and my T/C Super 14, 30-30. Both of these have been throated.

The fat front drive band on this one won't work on the Canadian Cent Mod. 94 Win.
I know that fact already.

I was shocked to see a GC on that original drawing! I relaxed when I saw the mold was a
half and half. Didn't know you did "diapered" bullets.:D

Serioiusly, you have been amazingly successful with plain based bullets in rifles. I love
to think of all the folks who think it is impossible.

I looked real hard at that mould when looking for a bullet in that weight, but opted for the 188 hunter instead. I wanted a smaller meplat than this bullet has, and heavier nose than the 315, for a hunting bullet in my .30-06. I'm pretty happy with my choice so far and am @ 2200 fps with my current test rounds of 47 grs of IMR 4350. Just loaded test rounds of 48 and 49 grs for next round of testing. If I can't get the 188 to do what I want, I'd go to this bullet instead.
