TLC 313-150-RF Ranch Dog

MW65

Wetside, Oregon
Finally did some casting in this recent mold thanks to a member on here...

Cast beautiful bullets in my range scrap plus alloy. Coming out @.314, which will be perfect in several oversized 30's. Currently in my elk snot lube (lla-beeswax-turps), and will give them a try when it dries.

I normally don't like to size too much, but do you think if these were sized down to .311, do you think it would be an issue? Only way is to try... figure i want to give the 336 some practice, and think that this ranchdog would be nice to try. Maybe send some thru the .300 sav as well. Pictures coming once I upload them to the computer.

Thanks!

I wouldn’t expect any issues sizing to .311. Elk snot lube... gave me a laugh there!
Good luck, Andy!

I have .313" and .314" flat-based bullets which size easily to .311", for the 30-30, in one pass through a Lee sizer die. I push them through base first because sometimes I get some finning on the base going nose first. My "alloy" is somewhat "vague" in composition, but rarely harder than straight wheel weights.
