Those swirling masses of destruction are one item we do not miss at all.
A small Baptist Church in Central ILLinois was ripped apart by a twister. All that was left was the large Bible on the small table in the entrance still open to Psalms 32. The handout flyers were also still sitting on the table ready to be distributed.
The pastor was home looking out the large living room window watching his 100 year + old building get destroyed. Next his car stood up on end and twirled abound. Finally as he was moving back from the window it exploded inwards. The pastor received no cuts but behind him imbedded in the wall were numerous glass shards and holes that outlined an empty undisturbed space in a human form.

Certainly a rare event, but not rare enough that people haven't seen it. When Mother Nature
gets really wound up, you do not want to get in the way.

Lived through a number of fairly serious hurricanes when I was a kid and saw that we are NOT
in charge here, we are passengers on this big blue marble, and need to be careful not to get
squashed.

The big guy was looking out for him, clearly.
