Tulsa Gun Show

Ben, I get a message that "this video is unavailable". Maybe it's my computer, perhaps you could try it yourself.

I think I failed to mark it as a public video that is open to all .
I fixed that a few minutes ago.
Try it again, if you will.

Rick,

What is the old saying......" Little things make a difference."

That is amazing, Ben! We hear about these things but seeing them is something else. I have now seen the elephant, as my ancestors said about the Civil War.

Sorry for the video link not working earlier.
Was my error.

Thanks,
Ben

Amazing thing is that the video doesn't really show how huge it is. I can assure you that there is no way you can go and see everything.
I have seen things for sale there that I hadn't ever seen elsewhere, for sale or not. Things like multiple 1941 Johnson rifles for sale.
I watched Ben agonize over a Ruger No 1 in 44 mag with some beautiful wood, new in box. Still kind of shocked that rifle doesn't live in Alabama.

I can't even imagine going to a gun show that size. I can walk through and see everything at my local gun shows in about an hour......:(

Something to think about: If all our tables (2800 8ft. and 1300 6ft.) were placed end to end they would stretch 5.7 miles!

If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,200 tables, You will have 15.4 seconds to look at each table.

That is from their website.

I find 5 hours about all I can take. By then I am pooped and am walking by tales but not really seeing anything. And the calendar girls. My wife assures me there is some major engineering going on there.

Waco, there is very little garbage too. Not much jewelry. No candles and junk.
If you want a 94 Win their will be a hundred or more to chose from. I had a choice of 3 Ruger SSM in a couple barrel lengths. I don't ever see those around here.

better have cash in hand and a mission.
I can't understand why they wouldn't have a 3 or 4 day show if it's that big.
you'd think the sellers would want everyone to be able to see their stuff.
it would suck to buy a table and everyone walking past is doing the strip shuffle when they get there.

With an estimated 30,000 vistors someone will see your wares.

Brad is right.
You've got to be moving.
I'm pretty beat up at about the 5 hr. mark also.

Ben

I kinda wish they had a bit more space to sit and rest.

And wear good shoes, that much time on concrete is tough on the legs.

My friend told me to take a note pad and pencil.
He was RIGHT.

You see something, an hour later you want to go back and look at it one more time.

Problem is, you can't find it. 8.3 miles of tables.....Ummm, now where was that table that had that rifle I liked so much ? ? ?:mad::mad:

And that is mostly the smaller downstairs part. The upstairs part is a good bit bigger.

Huge show.

I only walked about one row away from my Rem RB #4 .22 before I realized my error
and went back and bought it. Still glad I did. Easy to lose where you saw something.
You need two days, and you need to keep moving.
