I like a fan on me when I cast keeps me cool.
Like to cast late at night, by the window with it open.
At least slippers and boxers should be worn.
IMHO
It is not a good idea to cast in the nude, at night next to an open window.

I just now saw the “after “ picture, that’s better. It looks real now. Properly messy.
Regarding dredging the top of your melt without fluxing: you are likely removing the tin by doing that.

Thanks Rocky! I appreciate your love for my mess!

I now have a workbench in the middle as I'm in the process of rebuilding the 8" ring/pinion for my '65 Fairlane Sports Coupe so a little greasy in there as well.

I had a vent hood for about 8 years and probably cast bullets under it 5 times! I don't like being in closed in areas, no matter how much room I have behind me. There is a word for that but I can't spell it. LOL My whole casting rig is on a cast iron machine stand I inherited from my FIL. It's on large castors, so I can just roll it in front of my shop door and open the door. I often cast at below freezing temps and just dress for the occasion. I kinda like watching my dogs in their kennels, the squirrels, and birds on my hillside while casting. Used to watch deer also, but the wolves have taken care of those.
