I'll do that.You can always fire the first several rounds single-shot and inspect the barrel bore & cylinders before firing a second shot until you reach your conclusion of whether or not you should continue.
Except for the target load My Dad shot in Bullseye Competition, We never shot wadcutters. His favorite .38Spl load was a .38/44 load using the #358429 over a stout charge of Unique. Used that load in S&W Heavy Duty & Colt OP to tumble jackrabbits. I still use that load occasionally these days in that same Colt Op & a S&W M27.
