Several times now I've been mentioned here. I've told several of you in PM's that I don't post much anymore...... I check out (lurker) several sites off and on though!

But a -15* below zero morning yesterday plus seeing the cold weather thread here got me thinking.. Then Ian's comment about parts of the "Extreme" thread being deleted kind of cinched it for me to sign up here....
I'd like to see the "Extreme Lube" threads continue here as the 'main players' are already here.... A lot of good info was 'over there' and it's a shame to lose it. Yes I know..... we have several great lubes already! Probably 98% of lube needs are covered with several of the 'formulators' right on this site!

But I delve almost always now... in that 2%!

Ian delves in the 'blistering' heat formulation and I like bitter cold..... Most, if not all of the 2% lives in these two areas!

I may start by re-naming the title "Bullet lube".... This old title is a catalyst towards confusion. Something like "CORE Stabilizer" might be better...... As CORE separates a so-called 'good' lube from the allusive 'great' lube!

I truly believe you are correct in the CORE being the key. It isn't the lube on the bullet that matters as much as what the bullet finds on its travels down the bore.
