What is your weather today?

Dog let us sleep in this morning, then went out in the snow and did her business. Wanted treats for her 'reward'. More snow last nite to cover the ice from yesterday's melt. Outdoor temp meter stuck at 39F so needs new battery - when it warms up.

0.1" snow fell yesterday. Got out the leaf blower. Maybe an inch tomorrow?
But basically almost nothing on the ground here, we should have a foot or three on the ground. At least we have been below freezing for the last few weeks...and that's suppose to continue. It's looking a lot like last year's "almost no snow" for the whole winter.
BUT, I hold out some hope, there is always the chance for a late April blizzard, we got 20" of snow one year, I can't remember what year? but less than 10 years ago. I do remember it was on April 25th...Same day as Glencoe high school Prom, photos in newspaper where some kids drove snowmobiles to Prom, LOL.

30 degrees 30% chance of more snow.
I’ll put on my West Texas Tuxedo(Carharrt coveralls) and give the named bovines a round bale of hay today. I’ll take the AR along in case a varmint needs tending to!

4"+ of snow and still snowing hard. We will prob get the 6ish they said we might. Bad news is, supposed to get an hour of rain right in the middle of it, which will suck.

I love that owl pic!
I forgot to post a pic so here.
I’m not a fan of snow but I welcome the moisture it brought. I hope that some ducks show up before season passes…..IMG_4365.jpeg
This non native Blue Spruce has survived our summers somehow- its probably thinking “Hell Yes!” right about now.

Banking hard on getting that snow they're calling for this evening. As I've probably pouted about already somewhere I HATE the cold and snow. And, as I've probably whined about already somewhere I wait sometimes years just for one morning of fresh snow during an open deer season.

I'm home early from work on a Friday and outside trying to get some welding done before the flakes start falling and I realize my biggest concern to ponder right now between now and sunrise is....flintlock in the fresh snow, 30-30 with all those new mods I've just done and really want to try out, or the 45/70 that hasn't hunted yet with the new 3x9 on it.

My life is hard to put up with, really, it is.......

couple of those rust spots connect together and you'll be aabooout half way to where the Bronco is.

nobody got any pictures of like a beach, or a lake [that ain't froze]??
if i wanna see snow i can raise my eyes and look out the window.
Will some Warm Weather Southern Mountain Mud suffice?

That truck is a special truck, bona-fide military veteran. Still wears the rolled-on green paint and "diesel-only" stencile on gas tank door.

Another of my son's project trucks, and there ain't a place out here on the farm it won't go, or winch itself out of...rain, mud, snow, ice, rock...Green don't care.

8.1 liter LS with a tweaked tune, headers and 3" pipes all the way back, NV4500, 4:56 gears, 37 inch mudders.......

they quit the mud bogs here when one of the guys blew out the back side of the pit and took out a couple of brand new [as in hadn't been sold yet] trucks from the local dealership and the owner [AKA sponsor of the event] had to eat the repairs.
