What Mold is this

the 457401 comes in at about 195grs.
it's kind of a truncated cone nose shaped button collar bullet.
it has 3 drive bands that get smaller towards the front and a crimp groove between the first two.

probably make a pretty decent old 454 type colt revolver bullet too.

Typo!

I found that 4-cavity you’re referring to on Fea bay. I don’t think they have the number listed correctly. It’s a round nose in the picture.

Joshua's pic looks a whole lot like a #452374 to me. Caveat emptor, semper--and that goes double for E-Bay.

In 92/6/2 alloy, my #452374 drops at 227 grains. It is a very close copy of the John Browning-designed FMJ/RN bullet meant for the 1911/A1-series pistols. These usually feed in even the balkiest old-school unmodified GI 45s. When I load them in my S&W 625, I wrap a moderate roll crimp over the ogive origin--just like with the #311008 and #427098.

Definitely a misleading listing that requires a lot more information before bidding.

The predatory feeding frenzies for components and ammunition attract all manner of low-life and bunco-steerers into the market.

the one 462 pictures is the one I described.

you have to be careful with the 374 the nose tapers very quickly on many of those molds and you can't get the case tapered enough to hold the bullet well, or tapered too much for any sort of head spacing.
the ones that have enough diameter where the case mouth sits, feed and shoot very well.

I donated the one I had to the Boolits site back in the early days to help Ken out.
