Found an old can of Winchester wst ball powder. Where can I find loading data for it. I read where it is similar to bulls eye powder. Appreciate any info on it.

No experience with the .243, or WST. But I found a couple of threads that might be of interest to you. Good luck!

No experience with WST, either. Never ran across it. Would be hard pressed to buy a powder that seems to be an abbreviation of worst.

8.5 grains of WST very accurate in .30-'06 with Accurate 31-160H loaded without GC as 100 yard Junior training load for the '03A3 Springfield.

John,
My shooting buddy Ed uses WST exclusively for Low Node Shooting of his 257 Bob's and 250 Savages with light cast bullets. If you want I can ask him for some suggestions for you ?
He shoots like me 50 yds and near Subsonic

Yes you could but I would drop back by at least 1/2 grain The 243 case volume is less So Dropping back a bit would give you the same velocities and pressures

Will load a few for Friday morning. It's supposed to rain most of the day tomorrow. Appreciate the information Tell Ed thanks.

the BORE volume is less, the case capacity is more for the 243 over the 250.
the 257 Bob is pretty close in case capacity to the 308 family.

it is especially useful if you need to make 300 savage, 250 savage, or 6.5 creedmore cases.

If you run a 6.5CM in a 6.5 Jap die it grows enough to make length . I haven't checked the case capacity between those and the hand full of Norma cases yet . I don't imagine there's a lot of difference between them .

Interesting. I am trying Winchester wst in my 245 with 87 gr bullets. Started with 4.5 gr. Pretty good group, but I think it's to much, because my next load of 4.7 really opened up. is there any danger of going to low, like maybe 3.8/3.9. thanks.. happy Easter

wst is designed to burn at like 10-K... PSI.
i wouldn't try for 5K or nuthin like that, but you got a lot of latitude.
