Woke up in a panic

My heart rate is finally coming down from 20 min ago when I woke in a panic and rage. I was dreaming someone shot my dog(who has been gone for about 9 years). I wanted to hurt someone really bad for this. Man it was SOOO real. That dog was my very first dog and we were exactly alike. I had to put him down from a freak accident. He had twisted his head from a muzzle type of leash and blew out a couple disc and it parillized him on his whole back end. My old lady was walking him and he took off after the tele pole on the corner she was at. Well the leash was only so long and when he hit the end of it it twisted his head. Vet said there was nothing they could do.

I have a dr's appnt in a couple hours and I canceled it. Luckily the better half has already left for work. Last time something like this happened I guess I was like a mad man laying in the bed swinging and yelling. There is no way I can get back to sleep now. Only 2.5 hrs before this happened.

I must have been thinking of my dog before I went to sleep. Man these panic attacks are not fun.

Nothing wrong with that ! Having a right heart sometimes takes us off on a direction we would not have planned but needs done.

I wish I had woke up swinging for a good reason like that . X 1 did some things that cost a couple side lamps and a night stand ......

It's been years since the last time . Ms 3 is cautious about about waking me ...... Appearently I came up room clearing when she had a migraine induced nightmare ...... we're quite the pair .

Best one ever .
I was duck hunting in a canoe and had it shoved back in some tules the birds weren't working so I decided to that the bass should be hitting , big large mouth , so I used kittens for bait ........ Weird . I guess it had to do with some wildcats dropping a bunch of kits and trying to trap them for some folks looking for barn cats ......
Anyway I could smell the mud , feel the rain , hear the tules rub on the boat , and the vivid color definition , 80 shades of green .

Worst for me as ~1973, she woke me ~2AM - sat bolt upright and hollering "I'm gonna die', proptly fell back asleep. Mad at me when I shook her to wake and tried to see if she was OK. Didn't have a clue she did it. Musta been the 'been chased by a bear' thing gals have.

So this happened twenty years ago. We were newlyweds. I had dozed off after love making. I think that there was pie or ice cream in the house. My wife walked into the bedroom and asked me if I wanted some desert.

She walks in and says “Hey babe, you want some dessert?”
I say, without opening my eyes “Tina, I just want to sleep.”

My wife’s name isn’t Tina. Tina was my
ex-girlfriend.

Dana, my wife, lost it at that point. Crying and hurt.

I still remember her voice when she said “What did you call me?”

Needless to say I was very awake for a while after that.

Had a close friend staying overnight in my apartment. He was about a year home from 2yrs and 10 months in SE Asia with the Marine Corps.
He woke screaming and thrashing, I made the mistake of trying to help him. He was having flashbacks and I became the enemy, it was a very close issue whether both of us were going to survive the next few minutes until he snapped out of it.

I have had awful nightmares about things I have seen and done, but nothing like his that night. I thank God for that, and pray that those who struggle with the demons of their service find what they need to soothe their souls.
