wtb lyman handle

If you have a grinder and files, Lee six-cavity handles can be made to fit.

I believe Lyman made two styles of handles - a nutcracker type and a conventional pliers type. I find the conventional type easier to use. I'll back up @462, if you are going to use the conventional type the Lee handles work really well.

No matter which brand of handles you end up with, you might want to think about getting some high temp glue and gluing the wood handles in place. I do that with all my Lee handles. I don't like drilling holes and pinning the handles in place, I think it just weakens the metal. In any case having the handles constantly slide off during a casting session isn't musch fun.

LEE tells you what to use right on the flap of the box.
even they know their stuff will fall apart.... LOL

anyway i know that because....... well,,, because i just today opened a box with a new set of handles in it.
oddly,,, weirdest thing ever.
i had to take the mold back off them and turn the handles over for the mold to close properly.

if you wanna splurge on a good set of handles that cost about the same as a set of Lyman 4 cav. handles,,, look up red river rick.
