At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Some years back (decades now I suppose) on another forum, Shooters maybe, there was talk of someone modifying a 22 rifle to shoot the 25ACP. I think it was a Ruger, but I'm not sure if it was the 10-22 or the 77/22, probably the 77/22. IIRC one example was more or less completed and it turned the dinky little 25 into something else altogether. There was also at that time some talk about the old 25 RF Short being able to be used with the 25ACP because they both shared some similar barrel dimensions...I think. It's been a while. My interest was more in modernizing the 25 Stevens with a centerfire primer, but the ACP guys were doing some interesting work. I don't know whatever became of any of it.

Recently a fellow did a single 6 to a 25 ACP but stretched the case to like .750 or .800 and ordered a half lot of correct HS brass via Graffs I think . He went backwards from a 32 H&R to the 25 with a new cylinder and barrel . There are 4-5 wild cats that are variations of a necked or tapered 25 ACP to .224-8 . 1 goes all the way to the rim and 1 is little more than an over heavy crimp.

I just wanted to move the F pin in a Heritage 22 mag/LR and make the bottom half of the case fit in the LR cyl reamed with a 22 mag body . The little 37 gr bullet or a 55 over a gr or 2 of whatever is handy and it's a fun little squirrel slayer moving the firing pin is the biggest bug in a rifle . Well that and finding a 25 cal barrel that's not valued at more than a house payment . Like all things there are several ways to arrive , and inexpensive is always labor intensive .
