Loaded 50 rounds tonight.
30 in trimmed 455 cases with 21.5 gr H110. Ten each with CCI 350, Fed 150, Fed 155. Want to see how primer affects ES.
20 in 44 mag brass with 21 gr H110. Ten each HT and air cooled bullets.

The 10 air cooled are mostly because I was out of HT bullets.

Brad,
You may have mentioned it before but in looking at the drawing in Accurate's catalog I don't see the crimp to nose length.

I think it is .485.
I should have gone just a little shorter. My .445 brass could have been .020 longer than it is but then the bullet would stick out of the end of the cylinder. I didn't know that until I had trimmed a few cases way long and tried a loaded round in the gun.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
It says you have to view on Youtube Brad.

Easy enough to see if I click on the right icon.

I guess if that position is working for you. I don't rest my hands, have a sand bag behind the wrists.

Had to watch it twice, I blinked and missed it the first time.
I have a long, unedited version of you want.

I will try more under the wrists. I need to get a few sandbags made up. I'm using a stiff foam block and a couple towels folded up.
A key feature for me is to keep a stocking hat under my right elbow so it doesn't get beat to hell.

I bet that is a partial cause of my vertical issues. Hmmmmmm

I will try more under the wrists.

Perhaps even "behind" the wrists. Looks like way too much grip and your fighting recoil. Allow the gun to rise naturally and your arm to follow up with it. When you try to beat recoil it will win. Every time.

The first few groups I held the gun much more loose. I beats the hell out of my middle and trigger finger under recoil that way.
I'm trying to find a constant that lets me get the gun to settle down while keeping it under some control.
I can tell you one thing, this isn't easy!

Ah, you never mentioned wanting easy. You did mention wanting good long range revolver groups. If it's easy your looking for you might try knitting or something. If it is revolver groups you want I can assure you it's quite possible but not until you get word "easy" out of the sentence. Gotta do the whole package right every shot.

It is beyond mildly challenging. I always tell the kid that anything worth doing is difficult. If it is easy then anyone can do it so where is the accomplishment?

I now have 160 rounds fired with the new bullet. I have a few ideas on what does and doesn't work well. Now to cast a bunch more and keep shooting.

445 cases, 21.5 H110, HT bullets.
CCI 350 1327 fps ES 20
Fed 150 1233 fps ES 31- one round was at 1174 fps
Fed 155 1235 fps ES 44

44 mag cases, 21 gr H110, CCI 350
HT bullets 1279 fps ES 8
Air cooled 1283 fps ES 10

The Fed primers would probably do better with another 1/2 gr of powder.

The air cooled bullets did well enough that I'm going to give them a serious look in the future. They do squish enough to wipe out the lube and crimp grooves but that doesn't seem to show up on paper so far.
