You won't be sorry you got those Forstner bits. I find myself using mine often. The ability to make a fairly clean flat bottom hole is a nice bonus.
My first plan using with a forstner bit, was to drill a large blind hole, then finish with a centered smaller 1/2 hole for the 45 acp ammo to poke up through. I choose to do this with one chunk of wood (2.5" thick). My cheap HF hole saw kit (with multiple inserts) only goes 1" deep.
I now realize there are a hundred other better ways to do things. I still gotta try the PVC pipe, before I do any more wood drilling/cutting, because I thought I had hundreds of the 45acp to disassemble, but turn out, only have about 50...but there is another 60 or 70 SWC 190gr that don't cycle my semi-auto Ruger American, and the brand of brass doesn't work well with my Moon clips, but I have shot them in the 625JM without Moons, but If I find a easy way to disassemble, I think I'll pull those too, because those are loaded with SR 4756, and I'd save that and use it with a small amount in my last metal can for a better batch of 45 acp.
