I love the 1911 just something about them that is close to my heart...Could be that my dad taught me how to shoot with one. To this day he still packs a 1911 every single day not bad for a 90 year old man...BTW he still can out shoot me with his 1911o_O

Any ways I'll show off mine first :)

I love those Colts'...

I will try to get around to getting my others out...and the 1911's and get a pic of them. I have a Casull that has not been shot in years...thought of selling it but, it will be like the Colts and will probably appreciate a little...so it can stay in the safe. The guns in the picture are the guns that I shoot primarily...I do shoot the lever guns and Contenders a good bit and my son shoots the 1911's. We have a Para, a Kimber and a Rock Island.

I tried to get all of mine out for a portrait, but they started chasing each other around the room like cats. The .38 Super is mad at me because it hasn't been out to play in a few years and the Aimpoint needs a battery.

Ian, I have had the hankering for a 38 Super for a long time...eyeballed a pile of them on GB...but have never dropped the hammer on one. To be honest, probably the reason that I have not already gotten one is that I really don't need another caliber to collect crap for...I have stuff running out of my ears now, but I can't seem to make myself get rid of most of it. However, I have recently thinned my mold herd a good bit...so, there might be room for some 38 Super stuff...

Kind of been eyeballing that .22 TCM, too. hehe:)

I don't shoot the Super much because I actually have to pay for the brass it uses. Not that it's a prohibitive expense, but there's something satisfying about plinking with a gun that eats range pickup stuff and nobody leaves .38 Super +p Starline brass on the ground.

GSF6493, beautiful collection. I'd have to say my favorites of your 1911 group is the 1911 U.S. ARMY and the National Match. The U.S. ARMY; post war manufacture?

Only own one, a series 80 Gold Cup. Shoots better than I do.
I have considered more but never pulled the trigger, so to say.

I only have two: a 1916 Colt with a long history that I know, and this one. Sold all the others as this one shoots well and is easy on the eyes.
