Let's see your 1911's

Don't have a 1911 or any other 45 ACP, nor do I want one.o_O

Do have the improved version of the design in the form of the Browning HP.

Was my first SA semi-auto and last. I prefer the more modern DAO.

My latest and greatest acquisition.

Sig P-320 RX Compact. The tricked out version of what Uncle Sam chose to arm our troops. Night sights that are tall enough for use with the motion activated Romeo 1 reflex sight or with a suppressor. DAO with a very nice trigger. Ambidextrous slide release and reversible magazine release. Very dear to me, since I'm a South Paw.

Don't like registering my firearms with the Kali government.

Besides wanting another carry option, I have only one 1911 and two sons. That's also my justification for buying a M1A; one gets the Garand and one will end up with an M1A.

I have owned and handled a lot of 1911's. I have to say that the SA MilSpec as made in the last two years is as close to perfect out-of-the-box as anything I've ever seen. This one was so good, that aside from grinding down the front sight and giving it a 2lb job (based on a custom hammer and an EGW sear), there's not a thing I could do to improve it. The 40 year old Herrett's were a lucky find - Never saw Walnut come up so red.

Mae West line:
In 1944 the play “Catherine Was Great” which was produced by Todd and starred Mae West opened on Broadway. The author Cohn stated that West improvised the humorous line of dialog when she was interacting with her fellow star Gene Barry: 1

Barry, playing Lieutenant Bunin, was unaccustomed to carrying a sword, and in the second act, during an embrace, his scabbard came between him and his Empress.

A covert smile stole over Mae’s face. “Lieutenant,” she ad-libbed with a Westian leer, “is that your sword or are you just glad to see me?”

If you shoot a gun enough, you get so comfortable with it that it just seems like a part of you...

Here's one you don't see often anymore, originally put together a few miles from my house, almost 30 years ago, and re-fitted/updated in 2010 by Garey at the Cleveland location. I managed to beg Ace's super-secret-squirrel loading data from Garey, too ;)

Thanks Waco. It does shoot well, and has been shot a lot in the past (hence the re-fit). It's a .45 Super.
