Nice!

My 68 is the MP version. Interesting factoid, that mould was the first time I communicated with Rick. He needed to opt out after moulds were made and I took his spot. It was my first MP mould and first brass mould.

Thanks Rick in many ways.

I remember that very well and painfully Brad. You got that mold because I broke my knee and was out of work for about 6 months.

MP molds look really nice. I need one. These were cast with 50/50 coww pure with 1%tin added.

Yep, that is my recollection too.

Waco, his moulds are very nice. I own about 6 and they are used heavily. Probably some of my most used moulds.

No doubt MP molds are works of art, the man is a true craftsman. I would have several more of his molds except for the reason I don't order any more.. The last one took over two years to get. If I order another at my age I may not live long enough to ever see it.

All I can say is that for the cost of an NOE, Accurate, or MP mold I doubt I'll ever chance a purchase of a new Lyman or RCBS mold again. Why risk it? If I run across a smoking deal on something then maybe....
I know just what I'm getting with an Accurate mold. NOE's have been pretty darn good to me as well.....and I won't hesitate to try an MP for that matter.

Rick, i waited over 3 years for the 375 HP mould. It was worth the wait but was also frustrating as hell.

I have at least 25 RCBS molds. Been buying them for decades, in all that time I have had one bad one. I called them on the phone and they mailed me a new one and asked that when I got to it would I return the bad one. My view is that RCBS is without doubt the best quality off the shelf mold made.

I own 2 RCBS moulds, a 22. 55 sp and a 30 165 sil. Both cast a great bullet. Both drop bullets exactly the size I want.
We are blessed with a group of mould makers who give us what we want for a reasonable price.

I don't really have a need for a HP for my 1911. But that is one cool bullet. First mold I ever bought was a MP H&G 68. Love it! It is aluminum. Then got a 429421 4c clone. That thing will wear you out! But he makes GREAT molds!

At large, whereabouts unknown.
I'd buy an RCBS mould any day over almost any maker except for SAECO. I've had a great relationship with SAECO as well. All my Lyman purchases are done as the earlier "Ideal" marked moulds, I'm really developing a "thing" for early Ideal single cavity moulds. I buy the unvented ones whenever possible, but rarely cast with them. I just got a cool 452460 that has a totally different from the ones seen in all the pictures. Its also obviously completely original as well. Little victories. Sadly, my least favorite is an early H&G 68 2 cavity. They must have been drinking that day.

I have an Accurate mold in the H&G 68 form. It is the most accurate bullet I have found in my 45 acp.
