PC bullets now allowed in CBA Competitions

Received my latest Fouling Shot magazine and noted that PC and any other non-metallic coatings are allowed except for Plain Base (Schutzen) type matches. Some of the small bore shooters are winning local matches, so waiting to see how this will play out across the country.

Only on regional matches. No for Nationals and National record shoots. The average age of the CBA is 60+ so change isn't going to happen quickly!

They'd be pretty pissed off if someone showed up at a match with an $800 bargain parts AR-10 and PC'd bullets, ripped off their five shots during a luff in the wind, and won.

That is really cruel to a bunch of old guys who are the remediates of the Schutzen shooters of 150 years ago.

Like from the movie Backdraft, "Never let something new get in the way of 100 years of tradition!"

If the CBA is about advances the art then they need to accept change.
Might be my lack of suffering from nostalgia again? Good thing I was vaccinated against it!

I just checked this year's schedule, trying to figure out without looking at a map whether Tennessee or Iowa is closer to southwest Texas. It's like there's a full two-state or more buffer and most of Texas between me and a match. At one time I considered trying to set something up here but I lack the "interpersonal" skill set to work a deal with the local range owner, and as long as I've lived here I only know of two other cast bullet shooters in the area and only one of them might be up for a match.
