Ok Decided not to post targets (Most are posted here in other threads anyway.) These Are Best targets shot with light loads of Bullseye in all my rifles!

OK here goes :
.223 55 grain boolit liked 6 grain unique better than 3 grain BE -10 shots in 1" at 50 12x scope : Rem 78 sportsman Unique won here!

.243Win Ruger 77 1980 issue: I did not remember but seeing now It really liked 11 gr Unique For 85 gr Boolit, 1.25 " 10shot group 50 yds 18x scope Hated anything slower so BE and Red Dot gets Zip! Unique won here!

30-30 marlin 336 70's issue: Loves 6.0 gr Bullseye with a un gas checked NOE Ranch Dog GC 165 gain boolit BLL coated 20 shots into 1.75" at 50 yds Receiver sights and aperture front

8mm GEW98 loves 6.1 gr Bullseye with ungas checked Noe GC 180 gr Ranch Dog boolit , BLL coated, 20 shots into 1.75 inch at 50 yds with Receiver Rear and aperture front sights ( note I have bested this with 5 gr Red Dot: slower the better)

35 Rem Marlin 336 Circa 1964 just loves 5.0 BE with Matt Bullets 38 S&W Cast boolit ( 148 gr cast .362" unsized and lubed with 2x BLL) Using 4x scope at 50 yds 1.5 " group for 23 shots
I call it my sniper rifle!

Hope this may help you guys when it comes to ultra light loads. I do not have a chronograph but I hear the crack then the hit most times with these load!
So I'm talking sub sonic
If you are trying for close to sonic I would choose a longer burn rate powder ( but no need for slow powders with Dacron!!!)
Again JMHO

by slow powders I'm assuming you mean 4895.
I can duplicate 4895 loads with 2400 by using @ 10 grs less powder.
the accuracy is not as good but the velocity is right there, and you'd never notice the accuracy difference in the field.
