What casts bullets did you use RELOADING this week?

I loaded up a bunch of .38-40 with a 180 gr. RNFP bullet from a Magma mould. I has a crimping groove in the right place for .38-40 and was designed as a cowboy bullet. They drop at .402". 7.2 gr. Unique, I think there are five .38 w.c.f.s here. A Gen 1 SAA, a Uberti SAA clone, a New Service, a Winchester Model 92 rifle and a Marlin Model 94 rifle. I'd still like a Model 92 saddle ring carbine and I'd be delighted to find a Remington 14 1/2 in .38-40.
Then I found a peanut butter jar of 429421s in a shed. I think they had a light coat of BLL on them but I added a second very light coat and loaded them into mid range .44 mags. with 8.2 grains of Unique.I am down to one short barreled Super Blackhawk now.
I now have 175 457677s pan lubed with NASA lube and ready to load from my Shiloh Sharps. The drop tube is ready but I need to find my compression die. I probably have not loaded BPCR ammo since, oh hell, I don't know when.

chuckle:
yeah,, Wine.'

i ordered the mold then walked down to the NAPA and got a bottle of lapping compound after pushing send.
it made a slightly oval 428 and took me a week to get it to drop 430~.
now it just slips through the 430 size die.
pretty sure if i make any more they'll go through the toaster oven.

Loaded some 32-20's with the MP molds 314-640. I like this bullet but would have preferred the mold in solid form in aluminum. I don't make HP's and the brass mold is heavy. Whining aside, this is a great bullet design.

I'm "new" to the 32-20 as my last one was an old Colt I owned briefly in the mid-90's. Now have a 1892 Winchester and just received the original 32-20 cylinder for my 20 year old FA97 in 32 H&R. Fun little cartridge!

I’ve loaded a batch of Lee .40-175TCs that weigh 178grs as cast with orange PC.
I’m trying Power Pistol out this time; 6.5 grs as doled out by my new to me $20 Lyman 55.

Boring old bullet compared to some others loaded here.
But.....Monday I loaded 200 Lyman 358311 160 grain. Pan lubed and sized to .358.
Shot them all up with family Tuesday the 4th. Cast some more last night after we shot them all up on the 4th.
Loading up more for storage. Probably 50 this morning when I get home and another 50 till the powder is all gone.
Trying to use up a half pound or so of
H Universal. So I can move on to some other things for a while. Well down to about 4oz.

145 gr Plain Base, Ben's Liquid Lube with Winchester Super Field for BO???

We need a glossary or code book for this site.

I try to remember to abbreviate "Blackout" as "BLK" for that reason, but the one which cracks ME up is the 450 BM.

Now, "BM" has meant something totally different to me, since like the second grade.

Now don't be downing my sacred south eastern Ohio hunting stable.;)
I always remember Bush Master as Bush being a homophone with two different meanings. The one I picture being the neurotic one.
Ie. I am a super stud! I am the Bush Master!
Ok, I am done.

i don't remember calling anyone a 2 word compliment in the 80's.
used lots of 2 word combinations that should have got me at least the occasional split lip though.

I want to load up those nice Lee 38-158-RNFP I cast earlier in the week. Trouble is I'm feeling those old dilemma horns prodding my vacillating mind. Even though they are plain base I think I can get away with 13.0 grains of Hercules 2400, (gosh I like the sound of that), Hercules, ah.... Anyway it's that or 6.5 grains of Unique. I'm down to two, .357s a Model 66 and a Rossi carbine, oops, there's a 10" Contender barrel here too.
So a quandary. I'm probably going to use the ammo to knock down steel out to 80 yards, so Unique. I have a lot more Unique that Hercules 2400, so Unique. I'm not going to hunt deer with the Rossi, so Unique makes the most sense there. The 66 will be a lot less obnoxious with Unique than 2400, so Unique.
Hey thanks guys it's been fun hashing this out, you've been a big help! Is this like therapy?

I've have the opposite dilemma. More 2400 than Unique. IMO, 2400 has a smaller recoil impulse than Unique and burns cleaner, to boot.
