so waht ya doin today?

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I went through 2 early 90's Toy pickups, Greatest truck ever made, bar none. No, you couldn't stick a goose neck stock trailer with 25 head of cattle behind it, but that's about all you couldn't do! Good truck.

Got the skid steer engine back in. Runs like new! I do have to go through the wiring and figure out why now it doesn't want to start off the key. Either a wire or more likely the solenoid. Parts finally showed up for the round baler last night about 6:30. Can work on that too I guess. Raining here.

I do most of my yard work with the battery powered sawz-all.
the chain saw isn't coming out unless I gotta take down an entire tree.

been a fun filled few days.
went down fishing on Thursday, nuthin new the wind bleew I caught some fish the dick pulling the tubers around showed up again and acted like he owned the place.
they left some spare tubes on the boat ramp, left 4 pairs of slip on NIKE brand boat shoes on the dock, parked in the approach instead of the parking area.
the usual I'm the only one that matters stuff.

I ignored his assholiness and run over his tubes, kicked his shoes in the lake, and put a couple of rocks in his valve stem caps.

Friday we went down to Pokey.
the wife wandered around inspecting each and every item in 4-5 stores.
I went to sportsmans warehouse and talked myself out of buying a 20ga shotgun, but got some shot shell Primers and 2 bags of plastic worms on clearance, and talked to one of the clerks for far too long.
stopped at a little out of the way record shop on the way out of town.
their volume of records isn't impressive but it took me and Littlegirl 45 minutes to go through most of what they had.
I ended up with some new re-releases and picked up some old stuff in good shape for a good price.
[the oldest girl will get to hear side-2 of Iron Butterfly's masterpiece later today...LOL]
never made it to their CD section i'll have to stop in again.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida?

yep 3$.
the jacket is a little faded and scuffed from rubbing on other jackets but the record itself is in good shape.
I have found 75 cent records in better shape at the second hand donation shops around here than most of what I seen when they were new.
people must have tried to take care of their stuff a little better around here back then.

Non bio-degrade able stuff into the lake? Shame on you! On the way back through Ky saw lots of dump mountains, so in several hundred years they will dig into the burial mounds to find we are just mechanical people made of nuts, bolts and plastic! Recovering from 2 days of solid walking. Her BIL got a new v6 turbo expedition, really comfortable and decent 22 mpg. Nice not driving for. 2 days. Next week is digging roots and maybe some range time.

Hopefully that's a 40V cordless electric pole saw, those things are handy.

Bright idea.gif Better yet, a friend like Rick that has a natural fireplace, hungry saw, and is always looking for wood.
In fact, he came over yesterday and did just that. woohoo.gif

Couldn't remember, had to go back and check. Yep, Oregon 40v 4Ah battery pole saw.

I may be competing with Rick for my own oak. Gotta have oak for smoking wood.

Wood cuttin day 2

I cut everything I could reach without a ladder. I don't use a chainsaw on a ladder !

Not big on ladders myself. I finally trimmed this one down to size. Wish I had videoed this thing & that which it did. Never touched the fence when I finished it but warned the owner it probably would.

Well . . . Not so much for firewood. John decided that he just couldn't live with three tiny little trees in his way. One 3 inch cedar growing too close to an oak in the middle of his food plot. A couple of other even smaller oaks at the end of one of his trails that interfered with his limo making a U-turn.

Why does he care about making a U turn? That sounds like his chauffeur’s problem to me.

We have a flea market type place, indoor, near us. They have lots of vinyl and 8 tracks and of course about 8 billion CD's. The CD's I pretty much ignore since it seems like 99% of them are either Gen X/millennial rappy crappy junk or really awful recent so called "country". The 8 tracks I look at just to see whats there. The vinyl is almost always a disappointment. I really didn't know there were that many people back in the day singing along with Mitch Miller and aternatively listening to classical music. But every now and again I find something interesting. I sometimes buy them and get home, only to find I already have a copy, or in the case of one Dion and the Belmonts album, 2 copies! It is kind of amazing to run onto a record you remember owning back in the day and wondering what ever happened to Bobby Goldsboro or Juice Newton...

Spent some real quality time this AM with an 8.25-20 manure spreader tire. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to get a tire separated from a rim after 40 years of togetherness. I REALLY need to buy one of those bead breaker gizmos like my farmer buddies have. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-Vevor-...650424?hash=item3d90ff38f8:g:mSIAAOSwmpBdTbFi

John's not uppity. Well maybe a little but he does drive his own limo and one of his trails ends at a wet weather creek (can't be getting the limo wet ya know) so there is a cul-de-sac to turn around.

Glad to hear that Rick. A man needs to know when to check his privilege.:embarrassed:
