Do you remember what year it is Rick? I had a '70 at one point.
No, I don't but John will no doubt check in here and answer that.

This is what I fight all the time.I don't know of any way to get away from pressure varying, as the level in the pot goes down so does the amount of weight of alloy on the orifice. Not only that but the nature of the beast of any electric pot is that as the level of alloy goes down the alloy temp goes up.

Just a couple of the reasons I ladle cast from a PID controlled 40 pound pot.
If anyone would insist on bottom feeding just use a Rowell #2 ladle and you can bottom pour from the top of the pot.
I think I could benefit from learning to ladle pour. That new RCBS pot looks slick. Not too much $$$ either.
You guys are fans of the Rowell's #2 correct?
This would be a cheap way to learn!$32.23 plus shipping and you too can bottom pour from the top of the pot.
This would be a cheap way to learn!
I meant being able to use my current pot. Only buying the new ladle is not too much money. Inexpensive way to learn before investing in a dedicated ladle pot.I don't know what that means, cheap way? That's what a #2 costs today

I need to stop thinking of how many but rather think of how good.
