Any thoughts on Chest Holsters?

The last picture you showed. Was the picture flipped? I would be very interested in getting a left handed cross draw like the one you showed..

I got to thinking as I scrolled through this text......I have used all manner of holsters for work and play, but I have never owned or used a chest rig.

I really like them!!

Like many I have tried shoulder rigs. Ever really liked them. They needed to be tied to the belt then they become binding. Not so with these. No belt attachment. Options for carry position too!! At least with the DD holsters. Too new to see if this kydex can too. For me this is not a EDC holster. Its nicer to carry for activities then a belt holster leaves hands free and nothing protruding on the belt.A few years back, I switched to IWB carry and I dont know how I put up with OTB for all those years. BUT I also wasnt at my weight since high school. I love my HPG chest bag for riding in public. Where concealment is desired. I like my leather DD holsters for hunting and this one I see more for "outdoor carry needs" maybe outside hunting season.

Kevin,
Apologies. I use the "front" camera on my phone a lil too much. When ya do it "flops" the pics. When I filled out my needs for this holster I had to select RH or LH so I think he makes both. But I have included a pic of his business card. Call him next week he is a nice guy and can tell ya first hand.

I vote for the blue one!
I’m not into shoulder rigs, and the straps on that rig would drive me crazy to wear. I lay on the ice to check beaver snares often. I like the design of the holster, with the holes in it would be pretty simple to mount it on the dash of a snowmobile or fender of a wheeler.

Marie thinks highly of the blue model holster. She wants it to fit my her P-228, and either in gray or pink.
I don't know, with all the Plastic in there, it might hamper the draw or cause a leak if drawn quickly.o_O

Good morning
US Army (Armor) was my first experience with a "chest rig". Carried a 1911 for weeks at a time and forgot it was there until needed. Fast and easy to grab.
While hunting I still prefer the chest rig. With a 6 inch Dan Wesson scoped over .40 something carry all day is no issue. Fast and easy to get on target.
Contenders and Rugers and BFRs get hauled the same way.
The black or green Ballistic materials are our choice. No smell or maintenance and last near forever.

I LOVE the anticipation around waiting on ANYTHING firearm related to arrive. Starting to get anxious already! Got mine ordered in Tan colored Leather.
Had a weird dream last night; you know the "youtube" videos of animals being released back to the habitat? Well last night I witnessed the release of a Hippo and right out of the cage, a Rhino with the biggest horn(s) came out of nowhere and proceded to gore the life right out of the Hippo. What was interesting was the holes that were made remained as open holes (like holes poked in grey molding clay) and there wasn't a drop of blood.
No more Meatloaf and fried potatoes @ 7:30 at night.

That "Ease of all-day carry" is an idea I can relate to, and that cannot be said of hip- or shoulder-carry. You guys are going to cost me some more money, I can see that already.

I have three chest carry holsters. One for my large frame Glocks. One for my 1911’s. And one for my N frame Smiths. Mine are from Gunfighters inc. I’ve carried a pistol for work since 1985. The chest holster is for me the most comfortable most accessible way of carrying large fight stopping iron. I hardly know they are there.
