Bret, one of life's verities, is when given insignificant power, insignificant people will use it in an attempt to make themselves significant. Therefore "intent" plays little or no part in internet board bannings. Quite often, all it takes is insufficient fealty to the powers that be, to trigger a banning. However, in the grand scheme of life, being banned from a rinky-dink internet board, is a matter of no consquence. Better to be your self and be banned. than play trivial games to stay in good graces of some minor power on earth. Like you, I have no bad intent, but just being "uppity" is enough. The foregoing is banworthy in some places on the "interweb". Independent thinkers in any area of life, present a danger to the established order. My Grandfather who raised me once said: "Son, if your don't want to make waves, don't ever say nothing, do nothing or be nothing". I was born a free man and will die a free man, not subject to the control of kings, princes, bishops, potentates, moderators and board owners. See. I told you I was uppity. (-:
