After seeing the BS with Ian getting banned over at CB I am about ready to give that place up.

I was threatened a while back to be given a time off for telling the truth. In the shotgun section someone was trying to get vdomemorie back from a permanent ban. Well no one knew why. Well he told 45nut that he wanted money for the amount content and images he had on there. Basicly extortion. 45nut said it in a post and waksupi also said it in a post.

Well I posted the links and comments with what both said. Then a few hours later I get a pm to not bring it up anymore. I go look and all the post were deleted! I asked waksupi about it in a pm and before it was all deleted and he got all mad too. Which is not the norm for him????

Anyway, I see some faces I have not seen in a while so maybe I will pad my post count over here for a while.

I cold-turkeyed from CB several years ago.

Welcome to a politics-free site. A lot of us have found a home here when conditions in other places became inhospitable. Lot of good folks here, it's a good low-stress place to hang out.

Other sites can run themselves any way they want, so far Brad and the mods are running this site just fine as far as I'm concerned.

The only thing this site has done for me is taught me a lot about casting bullets that I never knew before . Oh yes, good people here too!!

Welcome.
This is a very low key place with tons of knowledge. I read a lot and listen a bunch!!
These guys speak the truth and prove it with targets...
I am wearing thin on the other site also.
I committed to running a few group buys over there for Miha and when those wrap up I don’t know how much time I will be spending there.

A lot less drama and way easier going over here ;)

All I know is this is a hell of a lot better forum with good people. Glad you have seen the light Tomme Boy.

Welcome, Tomme Boy.

Gosh, Ian, you were banned. You ought to wear it with pride.

I quit visiting that place, what?, four years ago, except for the swappin' and sellin' sub-forum, and to read an occasional searched link.

Thanks, Brad!

I quit visiting it about 3-4 years ago also, due to the petty bickering, the politics, and all of the arguing.
Looks like nothing has changed in that time. I am comfortable here. Good people here and it is seldom
when I open here that I don't learn something. Don't always need the something I learned, but wisdom
is wisdom, even if not used at present.

The Inquisition put Galileo's head on the block, too.

I find that a group who can have different, even opposing points of view, and still respect each other has much more to offer everyone involved than a group that insists on copacetic myopia.

We all have reasons for being here.
Many of us have found refuge from other places.

Part of what makes this place special is thst we don't bad mouth other forums. Let's keep that in mind.

Welcome tomme, you will like it here.

You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try to post here more. I see Ian and run and Waco and Ben are here. I thought something happened to Ben I have not seen him. Good to still see he is still showing everyone what a plainbase bullet can do!

I was surfing around here last night over past content. It looks like you guys really like the 30 hunter. That would not be possible without help from listening what works and what does not work from Run, Ian, Goodsteel on fit and Larry Gibson on the lubegroves.

The inspiration for this was 45.2 or whateverhis name was SIL mold. While it shot well. The problem came from Mihec not able to cut a 30 cal. Mold. The mold is supposed to be equal on both sides not 52% of the bullet on one side and 48 on the other.

So the 188 hunter was born. I had a brand new Shilen select match 308 win barrel made for my Savage. The chamber throat was supposed to be cut for the 168 Sierra matchking according to Shilen. I did 4 pound cast and came up with a few measurements. I talked to Al about modifying the k31 mold. And we played around and that's the story of the hunter.

But like I said it was from what I learned from Run Ian Tim Larry is what helped. Run helped with another really good one is a 30-165A from accurate molds

that K-31 idea was a good one, it just needed more drive band and less nose for other rifles.
I remember the discussion for that one, but lord that was some years back.

Just about all those bullets will shoot, you just have to figure out what they like in each rifle, and make adjustments to bring it together.

My 30 hunter is from MP and is very different from the NOE.
