Isnt fun at the range any day at the range?

Well, except the days when the 1911 mags are at home.

And that is a great training load. Who needs 22LR?

yep.
I have the 359's cast and waiting, I have the 311 size die on the bench.
and I have the new 30-30 brass ready to go.
I was thinking of working a nice easy load for the Stevens 325-C.

With estate-sale primers at a penny each, I load .223 subsonics for about two cents a piece or $10/brick. .30-30 subs run about $15/brick. 1/3 the price of .22 LR and more accurate to boot, what's not to like?

Ok Ben, enough with the "fun at the range nah nah nanny nah nah" crap. It's pouring down rain here and windy, supposed to be like this all week. Enough!!!!!! I'm going nuts.

" In my rifle ", it is easy to see the 311359 certain fills the bill.
As the old saying goes, your mileage may vary...........

I figure it's worth a try.
if it don't work out I can just keep on using them in the 30 carbine or the wife's 300 b.o.
the 4 cavity mold just dumps boolits like rain and they take the cheap copper check I have like a champ.
any time I can save some lead and simplify things I'm all over it.
I still need to try them in the carbine revolver.

Ben, as of this time stamp your post count is "3030". Useless piece of information but I thought it was cool in light of this thread.

Well, except the days when the 1911 mags are at home.

Last time I took the boys to the range I did exactly that. Left ALL the magazines for the 1911, in the bag on the table by the front door.
We need a palm-forehead emoticon.

Impressive group. That is pretty fun, I would imagine. I am not sure I have
shot very many groups that good, maybe one or two, but may be not.

Bill,

I had no idea if that particular load would shoot or not.
I just decided to fire all 20 rounds.

Now, I think I'll load more of that combo.:)

Best,

I figured I better get outside, between rain showers, and cast a few more of these 311359's since they are shooting so well.

Good job, Ben. I'll bet you had more fun casting than I did working.

Why does Ben only cast enough for one group at a time? And a single hole group at that.

Lol...I ain't arguing with his methods & ability one little bit. That feller can cast load & shoot!
