HI GUYS !!!!
Sorry I haven't been able to participate as much as I would have liked to....work has been piling up like crazy .....for some reason..some people can't seem to spend enough money...another time..another...story..
So.. the only shooting I have been able to do was some quick in and out plinking sessions....I checked to see if the smallish group I got with my Remington 700 VS 308 using PB 299's was a freak ...apparently not...(see the appropriate targets)...
I then tried a couple of groups using my two grouve Springfield MK 1 ..... PB 299's and PB 30 H...it's the "Shoot & See" target..not too bad for an overcast damp day and battle sights..
Then I went on to my Rock Island '03 with a good 4 grouve HS barrel.....that was this morning 36%,25 K wind ...straight in my face ...fingers froze up solid...but I got these off....
The molds were PB per Ben's instruction, but done on a wood working drill press...as you can see from the photos my work was less then perfect......
My lessons;
1...don't use a wood drill press
2...Buy a PB mold
3...Listen to Ben
4...for paper work they are as accurate @ 100 yds as gas checked .... either CU or AL, for me anyways..
5...Shoot even if the weather is lousy
6...use a softish alloy ACCOWW's to 4-4-92
7..because they are going so slowly (1300fps) even bad bullets shoot well
& 8...Listen to Ben...
Sorry about not being able to organize the photos..Imgur no longer works for me....Dan
