That's dedication....I have my newer Frankford Arsenal handheld primer tool. I love it.
While I don't own one, yet, I have used on of my shooting buddy's. He loves his also, because he has very large hands and is not delicate when priming. After breaking a couple of the new Lee's, this is the one he likes best.

Old flintlocks just to be able to take it out and fire it some before the museum gets it.
Dan Wesson revolvers and finding that one perfect load that will shoot great with any barrel length.

HAH! Cowboy boots. Stetson Hats (new and vintage). Vintage fountain pens. Old molds. Wool blankets/shirts/jackets/gloves - anything wool. USA made Shrade knives. Old (75-100 yrs) Colt and Smith revolvers. Lead! Sharpening stones. Old maps and reference books (SHTF = no internet). Cast iron cookware. Old tools. pocket watches. Military history books. 2x old style RCBS hand priming tools. 3x RCBS/Baer presses. 3x RCBS/Lyman powder measures. Trend?!? Nah - I just like what I like and don't want to be w/o something I can't get or replace easily!

More brass than I should have or need. Seems last couple years everyone is giving away their shotgun reloading components at garage sales. Was on a fishing tackle binge for awhile, in fact I sold over $600.00 worth at one garage sale we had last summer, and made money on it.
Not really a hoarder either but a Browning A5 finds it's way to my door often, and Marlin lever guns. Still need a couple S&W revolvers to be content. I have about 15 pair of hip and chest waders, but those and wool clothing are tools for me, much like canoes and snowmobiles. Probably too many knives also, and doesn't help I have a buddy 7 miles from me will make them any way I want them, with sheathes to match.
We had an Oak blyte went through here about 8 years ago and took a toll on a lot of my Oak trees. I had 16,000' of Oak lumber made (1/2 t&g, 1/2 4 square) which you could say I'm hoarding. I've been using it at my leisure a couple rooms at a time and my wifes shop so far. I could probably sell some of it, but the local market is kind of soft now and I enjoy working with it. Times get tough I'll burn it for firewood. Not going to tell you how many traps I own, you might think I'm a hoarder!

Rick,
Wal-Mart's are resetting lots of stores right now. They have teams that do the work by district, to certain specs. Most often done this time of year and the section or dept. that is missing is usually out in the Lawn and Garden area, since they are a seasonal department. They are doing the same thing to our store and several others in this area. The wife gave me the run down on this, as she worked there 28.5 years.

confused-face-smiley-emoticon.gifYep, was a Boy Scout.

My weakness has always been with single bladed folders. The larger the better. My collection is mainly dedicated to this style that was pretty much discontinued in the 70's. Or so I thought. Early 90's, Case reintroduced the line, as limited edition collectibles in a whole host of various handle materials........Stag, bone, celluoid, coral, wood, abalone and pearl. I have acquired almost all of the examples. Known as Clasps, Bulldogs, Buffalo's or just the 72 pattern.

There were only 10 made of the pearl with this particular blade etch.

I'm a two of everything type guy too.
I even have pairs of rifles/revolvers,,, same make model and caliber.
it's just such an inconvenience when something breaks down when you want to use it and it's 75-200 miles away to get another one.[or your just broke]
2 lawn mowers, 2-4 wheelers, 2 weed sprayers.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
You're not a hoarder if you can, and may use it at some time in the future. This makes you a stockpiler, not a hoarder. It's not like our stuff is garbage.

I wish Winelover hadn't mentioned knives...

Or Thousand Island dressing? Or tuna salad? It ain't like jars of relish goes bad for years.

Must be a regional thing. Here a store may have six half pint jars of sweet relish all of one brand, and 50 jars of dill relish from a several companies.
Same with sweet pickles, you can only buy Mt. Olive, NC, sweet jerkins in a store, but twenty varieties of dill pickles. FWIW.

I forgot about brass. I was picking up .40 S&W and .223/5.56 range brass years before I bought the Glock and Ruger American. Funny thing is, I gave away all the .223/5.56 not long before I bought the rifle.
Oh, just remembered the many hundreds of .308/7.62 , too, but no rifle.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Winelover, the knives are nice, but what I'd really like is a Case display case like there was in Braley and Noxons Hardware in my youth. If I had a dollar, heck!, a quarter for every hour I spent drooling over that display case I could probably buy a very, very nice rifle. Of course then I'd have to fill it with the correct knives to display... ;)

I had no idea a little thing pickle relish was so polar .

Knives ? Maybe I'm not wired for appreciation of grace and beauty in a cutting , cleaving tool ......
I'm still wondering what the point of a katana point is ....
A drop or clip point those I see those ...
I find the traditional Bowie shape to be too middle of the road , I guess it is prime for major caping but it seems like it is too light for point cleaving and too thick for fine work .... But I guess if skin to the elbow, Achilles , C2 , slab the hams , picnics , neck and back strap it'll do .
Damascus blades are pretty but there is just something about blood grey on carbon steel that warms me .
